ABOUT
Shawna Stillwell
Marriage and Family Therapist
Hi, I’m Shawna.
I believe therapy is about having a place where you feel truly understood, so that you can start to understand yourself better.
In my work, I am dedicated to making sure that you feel safe and comfortable. I see the work I do as a gift and a privilege, and I don’t take for granted that the therapeutic relationship we co-create can be life-changing.
My approach
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in curiosity. I draw from somatic and relational practices that honor the mind–body connection.
Together, we might explore patterns that once kept you safe but no longer serve you, or gently uncover the needs sitting beneath overwhelm and self-criticism.
My path
Before starting my own practice, I worked in community-based mental health. My work there was heavily focused on children and families navigating trauma and difficulties related to systemic racism and discrimination.
Providing services to underserved populations has remained a priority of mine, even once I transitioned into private practice. I strongly believe that everyone should have access to high quality mental health services.
